The Goddess of Victory figurine is inspired by the Victory statue atop the Dewey Monument at Union Square, San Francisco. Robert Ingersoll Aitken, an American sculpture was hired to sculpt this 9-foot statue representing Nike, the ancient Greek Goddess of Victory in honor of President William McKinley and Admiral George Dewey. The statue holds a trident that represents Dewey and a wreath that represents McKinley.
